Book:Misfits of Love {Healing Conversations in the Barnyard}
"Misfits of Love" {Healing Conversations in the Barnyard} is a journey through grief with nature and animals playing key roles to guide, teach, heal and move forward. It is based on my own experiences here on my small farm where I adopt elderly “Misfits” into the barnyard–crippled goats, blind ponies, grumpy pigs, old geese and abused donkeys. Much of my work is hospice in nature. The book is also a parallel journey as I process the impending death of my father, but the work I do with the animals is a guide through that process.

The book focuses on internal conversations I have with these Misfits in what has been called a soothing, lyrical text.
